While attending school at UCSB, I relieved much of my stress by baking batches upon batches of cookies and other desserts from scratch.  Everything from the stirring of the batter to the sweet smell of fresh baked apple crisp  brought me  much needed peace and joy.  It brought my now husband joy as well. Definitely the way to a man’s heart, especially if he’s a hungry college student!  Since then baking has become a huge part of who I am. A dessert first kind of girl, I appreciate quality and presentation.
